In a vote much closer than the Times exit poll suggested, Fabiano Ferina has been elected the Lionheart Chamber of Commerce’s new Chair, and will lead the resident-run group for a term of nine months.
Estate Owner Dirk Klees announced the result today and added, “Please give him all your support and work together as a group, to make the project – and thus, your businesses here at Lionheart – a success for everyone!”
Earlier in the weekend, when asked what his first course of action would be upon election, Ferina said that he considered it a must for the Chamber members to become acquainted with each other.
“Another action is to get more people involved in the CoC activities,” added Ferina in an interview on Saturday. “The way I see it, if we do not involve ourselves, and do not work as a team, the purpose of the CoC has failed.”
Whether or not the “ban list” controversy surrounding Llewellyn had a significant effect on the vote is unknown at this time, although a new Times poll asks readers precisely that.
Ferina replaces Sookie Slafford as Chair of the Chamber of Commerce group, and will begin his term with a meeting, the date of which is to be announced.
